Just a fun little anecdote. Some time back I worked at a student-club, and we had a deal with a local nightclub for mutual guest-lists to concerts and such. One other working the student club, was named Ib (a common danish name, not that common here in norway). As per usual we faxed off a handwritten guest-list to the nightclub, with five names and each bringing a companion, the format of which is "name + 1", thus ending up with ten total. Ib was one of the names on the list. Not long after we got an upset fax in return that went something like this: "The four others and guests are ok, but did you really expect getting away with signing up 16 + 1 right there at the end, hmmm? Get a grip already!" They'd misread Ib for 16... Since then he used his last name on all guest-lists
