OMG, this shit fuckin hurts, lol. Leaky valves don't help, either It feels like I'm having a damn heart attack, but without the Ventricullar Tachycardia. I get the numbness/pain in the left arm, fingers, and shoulder. Nausea and pre-syncope... Bleh! I hope this company hires me full time so I can get insurance and get a pacemaker They seem to like me so far. So that's a plus
dude I was in the hospital at the begining of the month for this kind of shit, my heart is kind of "tachy" as they say. im 21. I just had like a pretty serious "episode" where my pulse and heart rate were up real high and I had chest pains kind of in my left arm pit/peck. It was pretty bad chest pain that went away in a minute or so, followed by an uncomfortable feeling in my left arm. I describe it as "having a heart attack" as well.doctors dont really know what the episode was or anything, but i took a bunch of tests and they said everything looked ok. unfortunate your having such serious issues, hope you get that job and get everything sorted out for you and start feelin better How often do you have pains btw??
Damn, brother. That sounds like some rough shit. I've never really had anything that serious I've had to cope with, so I'm not really sure I could even imagine. But my best wishes in you getting hired full time, and gettin' your PM, and getting back to feeling the best you can.
You should prolly ask them to put you on an event monitor, so that you can record when you're symptomatic. Otherwise they have no clue as to what's goin on to cause your pain. They picked up on a bunch of mine. My electrical system's all kinds of fucked up (from Autonomic Dysfunction). I should be good to go w/a PM though. I get pain just about daily. I get moderate episodes (where I have to lean on somethin, or sit down to keep the blood pressure from dropping too fast) up to a few times a week, and I haven't have a severe episode (heart rate drops to < 12 BPM, and I struggle to keep consciousness - basically feels like you're dying) since October of 2006 *knock on wood*. I had 2 of those in 2006. The first one was in March/April-ish. Ended up in the ER both times. The first time the guy pretty much told me I was faking it, and why am I wasting his time. Despite the EMS saying my EKG's were abnormal, and in one of the more critical areas (T-Waves). T-Wave irregularities can be a pretty bad sign. But smoking pot has been shown to protect your heart in case of infarction, so *YAY* LOL... The second time they actually took me seriously, and found out I have a neurological disorder (the link's a bit up from here in the post... ^^^ That way ^^^). I most likely just have an acute case, but there's a small chance it could be a genera/progressive form, which would be shitty. I need further testing to determine which. I don't let this shit get me down, though. I live life to the fullest. It sounds a lot worse than it actually is. It just hurts a lot, and makes me dizzy sometimes... Here and there it really fucks me up and I drop, lol. I've been taking better care of myself, though, so I haven't been having those episodes as much
Dam bro, my Mom has palipitations(sp?) and that shit destroys her when she has them. Yeah hope you get insurance and get that condition stable. Get better.
I'm fine... I drank a wee bit too much coffee yesterday, I guess. Too much caffeine fucks with my heart For the record, Atrial Fibrillation is where the top part of your heart is just quivering (not even fully beating). It "beats" upwards of 600-700bpm... Atrial Flutter is pretty much just how it sounds. The top half of the heart flutters, and beats at 300-400bpm... It sounds scary, but it's actually a really common diagnosis. It just hurts like FUCK! LOL
woah. I've had chest/heart pains for as long as I remember. shit hurts for a minute or so. Your condition definetly sounds way more dangerous. Hope you stay fine!
My heart's whole electrical system is outta whack... I got SA Block 2 (aka Atrial Arrest), Incomplete Right Bundle Branch Block, Possible AV Block 3 (because the ratios of A.Fib/Flutter, to Ventricular Beat isn't constant, this variation suggests AV Block 3), and of course the A.Fib/Flutter. I also have leaky valves (mitral and tricuspid), and periods of non-sustained ventricular tachycardia... There's a small chance I could have a fatal arrhythmia, but there are ways of reducing that. Basically, I just get crazy pain, and on more uncommon occasions, I just pass out... Or come close to it. I've found ways to keep it stable. I just gotta take it easy.
Werd! I'm hoping for insurance soon, so I can get my PM. After that I'll be fine... And I'll be able to exert myself like I used to when I was younger. I hate having to take it easy. I'm an "always on the go" kinda person by nature, so having to take it easy is killin me...
