  1. I have had a problem with depression and anxiety most of my life. I talked to a doc about it and all they can perscribe is pills that will take away that prob and give me another. With AB554 will i be able to receive these benefits or am i just screwed?

  2. Medical conditions covered by Wisconsin's proposed Jacki Rickert Medical Marijuana Act

961.01 (5m) "Debilitating medical condition or treatment" means any of the following: (a) Cancer, glaucoma, acquired immunodeficiency syndrome, a positive test for the presence of HIV, antigen or nonantigenic products of HIV, or an antibody to HIV, Crohn's disease, a Hepatitis C virus infection, Alzheimer's disease, Amytrophic Lateral Sclerosis, nail patella syndrome, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, post-traumatic stress disorder, or the treatment of these conditions. (b) A chronic or debilitating disease or medical condition or the treatment of such a disease or condition that causes cachexia, severe pain, severe nausea, seizures, including those characteristic of epilepsy, or severe and persistent muscle spasms, including those characteristic of multiple sclerosis. (c) Any other medical condition or any other treatment for a medical condition designated as a debilitating medical condition or treatment in rules promulgated by the department of health services under s. 961.436 (5). -- Text of JRMMA.

So, nope- you are still screwed.:( But the good news is that you can join up with the folks here- IMMLY - Is My Medicine Legal YET? and work to get a more sensible law! MMJ laws seem to be starting out very strict, but get more conditions added on as time passes. By becoming an activist, you speed the day when medical cannabis is available to all.

I imagine you don't have a clue what to do to become an activist. Well, joining immly is a good start. Then get a copy of my "Granny Storm Crow's MMJ Reference List" (see my sig) and start sending copies of MMJ studies to your doctor, politicians and anyone else who could benefit from the education. (You can remain anonymous using snail mail ;) ) We have to educate the doctors and politicians to counteract all the prohibionist lies of the last 70 years.

Here are some studies and articles that I bet your doctor hasn't read!
