I Got My Medical Marijuana Licence Today!!!

Discussion in 'Medical Marijuana Usage and Applications' started by Sativanya, Nov 5, 2011.

  1. Its been about 3 and a half months since I sent my paperwork into Health Canada, but I FINALLY got it. Thank God. If anyone wants to ask me anything about the process please feel free.

For any of you who are interested, here is what one of the forms looks like:

  2. 675 grams... jesus christ. You will be literally swimming in bud.

  3. Congrats!

    Enjoy responsibly!

  4. May i ask what for and what type doctor did you go to?

  5. I was diagnosed with peripheral neuropathy, ulnar nerve entrapment, ganglion cyst growing on the top of my left wrist, as well as degenerative disc disease in my neck. I went to a neurologist and had emg's done, I also had an MRI done on my neck. Im not sure if the Dr wants me to give his name out, but I went through This Website and they were able to put me in touch with a compassionate Dr.

  6. Ahhh so your case is more serious then mine, that explains the less then 4 month wait, i have been waiting for over 6 months and haven't heard anything back from them yet.

  7. You can only have 1 and a half lbs at a time. Make sure you don't run out. That is awesome man!

  8. congrats, wow , 3 1/2 monts to get a license , and i was bitching about the 2 months to get mine :D

  9. If I may ask, which part of Canada do you live in? Thanks

  10. fill my bathtub with bud, swim in it and take a picture to prove it

  11. I live in northern Alberta

  12. I live in Ottawa Ontario :smoke:

It took me years to find a doctor willing to sign, then countless trips to specialists. It's been about 3 years since I first started looking into the MMAR card. That 3 1/2 months was what I had to wait once all the paperwork was complete. Just goes to show how fast our Canadian government works...

  13. Now become an activist, so other Canadians won't have to put up with a wait of MONTHS, or YEARS, of pain to get legal! That waiting period is unacceptable!

So how fast does your DMV issue driver's licenses? Why can't your MMAR folks be just as efficient? Pretty much the same process! So why the long time delay for cannabis? :confused_2: Could it be that they are "dragging their feet" deliberately?

  14. This is why i have openly approached all my doctors in the past about using MM, all of them just shrug it off and then give me more pills, it just bothers me that nobody has a open mind these days.
But at the same time i do agree that it is better that its harder to get it.
that way MMC goes to the people who really need it.
And it is legal on the federal level so no worry from the police/DEA etc.

  15. Connor who DOESN'T need cannabis? Honestly, as a PREVENTATIVE MEDICINE it is great!

Diabetes is at epidemic proportions! Many who have it don't know it.

Atherosclerosis is also at epidemic levels due to our "modern diet"!

    Alzheimer's claims thousands every year-

    Marijuana May Slow Alzheimer's (news - 2006)
    Marijuana May Slow Alzheimer's

Here's a quote from it- amyloid plaque "gums up" the brain in Alzheimer's- the more plaque, the worse the Alzheimer's!

The Alzheimer's drugs Aricept and Cognex work by blocking acetylcholinesterase. When tested at double the concentration of THC, Aricept blocked plaque formation only 22% as well as THC, and Cognex blocked plaque formation only 7% as well as THC.

THC activates both the CB1 receptors (the high and healing) and CB2 receptors (healing and all sorts of things!). Apparently activating the CB2s gets your body removing the beta amyloid plaque! This MAY reverse Alzheimer's! (can tokers even get Alzheimer's ? :confused_2:)

In the US, October is "National Breast Cancer Month"- news articles everywhere about it, but no one was talking about these-

Cannabis compound may stop the spread of breast cancer cells (news - 2007)
Cannabis compound may stop the spread of breast cancer cells

Now, since cannabis can prevent all that, why should it be restricted to "the people who really need it"? Do we have to wait until we are really sick to benefit from cannabis? Shouldn't we prevent the diabetic retinopathy (# 1 cause of adult blindness), or have that breast cancer cell go into the apoptosis process (die)?

When the medical facts are known, the NEED for legalization becomes OBVIOUS!

    LEGALIZE CANNABIS!

(Sorry for the hijack- was puffing on a pipe when I saw this!)

Click that first link in my sig and you get MANY hours of reading, Connor! I collect MMJ studies and articles- and all I can say is that cannabis is astonishing!

And start taking Omega 3! Your body needs it to make healthy CB1 receptors that heal your body and get you high! Just trust me on this- or this thread gets ridiculously long! lol

  18. Thank you very much granny!
Hehehe you kinda sound like my granny in fact, always talking about how cannabis is amazing and has so much to offer but not enough people see it that way.

Your Granny knows what's going on! Listen to her!

In fact, why not email me and let me send you a PDF of my big List! Then you can forward it easily to her. I think she would really appreciate it. She will find it SO nice to have the scientific proof to back up what she has known for years!
