I Froze My Cannabutter and the Water Didn't Seperate

    What do I do? It's clearly combined cause there is a lot of product lol. Tell me soon cause if not I'll just say fuck it and have super water butter brownies.

    Last night I made it, then stuck it in the freezer. Now, its all combined.

    Fridge not freeze, water will freeze but in the fridge the fats turn solid and the water does not.

    can i reheat it on the stove...?

    the issue has already happened guys, so what can i do from here?

    Gently melt it then put it in the fridge, it will solidify the fats (butter) and the water wi. Separate. I put mine in the fridge, remove the water melt it and do it again to get all the water out.

    Reheat it on the stove slowly and gently, then place in fridge.

    But next time, don't use water with your butter extraction. It's an outdated technique. It does not regulate heat like they thought it would, and water interferes with the action of the budder trying to attach the cannabinoids, thus slowing down the process at which it takes to get the goodies in your butter.

    Try using the stove next time, and don't use water. Keep the stove at 220F, and seal the container with the butter and canna with aluminum foil. Keeps the smell way down, and allows you to heat the stuff with a reliable heat source (the stovetop is not nearly as reliable).

    I also feel coconut oil works much better than butter, but you can still work with butter if that's all you have.

    Yeah the next experiment will be coconut oil. If only my eyes had landed on the cooking guides regarding oil before I went to the store to buy butter :/. There are literally so many food guides on GC that I feel as if the inferior ones should be removed.

    It wasn't till further reading that I learned coco oil is superior. Thanks TX and DSC. You seem pretty cool even though your name and avatar is gay to the max.

    Jim Parsons is gay, so yeah it is kinda gay. Oh well, I enjoy his character on the show regardless.

    And coconut oil is superior, especially if you can get your hands on lechitin. Bad Kitty Smilies Stickied thread is really all you need if you wanna make high quality, potent edibles.

    When the butter is cooling, should it be sealed? I threw it in the freezer to cool faster but its in an airtight container

    It should be sealed during heating, not cooling.

    And you might end up freezing it again in the freezer.

    Just let it thaw, it should separate without heating it again.. After you remove the water you can freeze it again...

    Well, every 10 minutes again, I return momentarily to reality, to check on my budder. Its coalescing into a disgusting but awesome thing.

    I had some of it earlier with oatmeal and later icecream, was something.

    after the butter is made there is another process..
    it helps bring out the buzz...

    The stuff I tried earlier was a bit of what was left over from my original straining, which was still pretty buttery.

    dude when you bake it ...it releases the goodies dude..
    once your butter is chilled, seperate it..
    make some cookies.. the slow heat releases the goodies and your high will last about 10 hours..
    decarbing they call it. Theres a specific temp you need to make sure you dont go over..
    My wife does all this.. and seriously her cookies put grown men in bed dude..

    take ur time and youll reep the benifits..

    There was about 5 grams fresh a few grams of hash but the bulk of it was the 30g of vaped bud. The color is a little gnarly but I didn't use harshly used vaped bud so it should be fine.

    Its solidifying.... no sight of any water o_O..............
