Hey guys, just to give a background my outdoor plant (Australia) is about 4 weeks into the budding stage now and I found this small black growth on one of the stems! is it anything to be worried about?? I pulled it off and it was not solid it was shaped like a little shell. Also, I am worried that the plant has been over fertilized as a lot of the leaves are getting brownish/orange spots all over them and some of the leaves have curled up a little bit... I flushed it the other day but new spots still seem to be appearing. I have been using miracle grow bloom and sulphate of potash. Thanks in advance for the help guys !! The black shell on the stem is called scale. Your plants are burned from the fertilizer, stop adding these strong fertilizers and use only water until new growth starts growing normally. You need to spray with Neem oil or pyrethrin insecticide .http://www.ipm.ucdavis.edu/PMG/PESTNOTES/pn7408.ht... http://www.arbico-organics.com/category/pest-solve... PW
