My friend went "all Booyah!"(his words) on his pc and he came to my door with it in pieces. looked like the thing got thrown out of a car(not out of the question with him lol). anyway 4 hours later it's up and running The case was so messed up it couldn't hold any of the parts in place so i had to transplant it into an old case i had laying around. He lost the floppy drive, a ps2 port, a crapload of useless screws and parts and his cmos battery took some tinkering to kick back in but the bitch is humming away over there I hereby declare myself the god of all things computer repair and give myself a cookie Top pic is how it came to me. had parts in it still(what was left of them) but you can see the holes and how bent up it is. Pic below is what I did with it If it hadn't been a dell the power key wouldn't be sitting on top of the computer and that big hole is a black cd rom drive. If he had taken this shit to geek squad they would of charged him more than he paid for it to fix it..that is if they didn't laugh him out the door *edit* Last pick just kind of hit me while I was looking around the room. Blast shield and steel toe boots from work at the facatory and delicate tools from pc tinkering. Just thought the contrast of the two skills was interesting.
Nice looking stuff! What kind of factory do you work at? My roommate is in the bridge business and does there shop work for them. It's a good feeling when you put a computer together for someone haha...they get all happy and giddy about it!
We build actuators. don't ask me wtf they do lol. And yah he just came by and picked it up. My friends always told me "Dude you can fix anything" and after that i'm starting to belive them lol Ps. DO NOT run your pc over with a car. ktnx lol
