I envy the careless opportunity wasted

  1. I know some people start threads and they just post all of their poems there, so here I go.

I envy the careless opportunity wasted
I've tasted in the cigarette ash life turn to dust
must I lust for life so in death I may find love?

Hover above me silent whispers of the kind
All is below the comprehension of the mind

    So the lazy mockingbird sighs
    So the weary mockingbird dies
    oblivious cries
weep the loss of that original call

  2. I enjoyed it quite a bit!
You created a good tone and sense of the emotions you are trying to put upon the reader.

    Good job, keep them coming.

  3. Damn man that was really good, I usually don't like poems but this is great
