I think it's going to be a dud once it gets to NY, NJ, PA, etc in 12 hours from now. Or at least I think we are being over cautious - which is really a good thing anyway. So let's just hope I'm right about it being a dud. If it's not, let's talk about it as it's happening. Anyone south getting anything yet? Edit - Fuck, man. The damage is extensive. NYC is fucked. Wow. I'm sorry for making such a stupid fucking assumption, all trying to be cool. Best of luck to everyone.
I'm in Worcester MA and so far it's just rain and some wind. Supposed to get heavy rains and winds 20-30 up to 50mph today, but that's the worst of it. Most of it is just hype. One of my friends who works at Walmart said bottled water sales went through the ROOF. Same thing happened when I worked there during the last hurricane and some huge snow storm we were supposed to get.
I'm in New Jersey - right in the path (well, shit - we're all in the path!). But I will be going to sleep soon (5:58am here). By the time I wake up, shit might be poppin. I mean I WANT to see a storm and watch it, but I DON'T want everything else that comes with it - deaths, people getting hurt, no power, etc. But seriously:
I want my fucking windows to blow out. I want to see cars being tossed hundreds of feet! I want to see a Tsunami make it to Central Jersey! Haha, sike. But seriously, I want to see something. I'd better be careful what I ask for.
what youre going to get in jersey is 10-14 inches of rain in 24 hours with 60mph winds and 90mph wind gusts. you will lose power and may have a few downed trees, your street will prolly be flooded. thats it.
all that sounds like a normal storm here in Kansas haha, tornados here get fuckin intense
You have no ocean in kansas. Not only are we getting wind out here, but the flooding will be terrible. And to think, im off to work now! - mrbear

This should be pretty intense, everyone keeps talking about it being a once in a lifetime storm so I'm stoked to witness it...def gonna hate the aftermath esp if I loose power

I was really hoping to schmoke and literally watch the storm out the window. But even without any greeneries it should still be fun to watch. Until a fucking tree falls on our roof!
Im in CT and the waves are already crashing over the walls, high tide is supposed to hit at 11:30 A.M and again 12 hours later. Thats when shit is really gonna get bad
Anyone here experience Katrina? Awesome storm, wretched aftermath. I had to smoke "Sports" or "Stars" or whatever the fuck they are for the following two weeks. I'd liken them sucking asshole through a straw (they weren't good). But good luck people dealing with storm.
Not even the 24hour super walmart that never closes, closed. I am in delaware its pretty bad here right now we already have flooding all over and that was 2 hours ago when i went to try and get coffee. Also we already have trees down in some areas.
The trees outside are getting blown around like paper trees. Appears to be about 30mph wind gusts here in central Jersey, going by my ascertation from looking out the window.
