I Dont Think Its Just The Stoner In Me

  1. I'm one of those pessimists who feels the world is ending...but maybe it's not so bad afterall.  I don't think it's just the stoner in me when I say that weed legalization may prove that the world is not ending.  In a world where everything seems to go wrong...the fact that weed is being legalized in places makes me think not everything is wrong afterall...and people do actually use common sense in the way we govern ourselves.  If weed was legal where I am I feel I'd gain so much hope for mankind.  The people in Colorado may feel the same way right now.  What do you think?

Is it just the stoner in me or is marijuana legalization proof that the world may not actually be ending?  I just wish it was legal so I could get my parents to smoke so they could realize how not bad it actually is.  That would improve the quality of my life so much.  Anyone have any good music playing this morning I think I'm out of good music and I don't hear new songs that are good coming out anytime soon.  /Stonedrant

  2. Ehhh, your parents should toke if they want to toke, not because its legal and the cool thing to do.

That being said, if we continue to damage the earth and kill off everything in our paths the worlds going to end.
How much bigger of a population can we support?
Weed being legalized I don't think means the world isn't going to end.

  3. Well maybe if it was legalized it would open peoples eyes.  The herb has opened my eyes to the perils of the universe.  And yeah I agree about my parents but they're close-minded like that you know.

  4. I've thought about this too; Legalization.

But honestly, think of this: How many people already use the herb. It's the most 'illegal' used substance for sure, and it might be up there with the most used drug/plant in the world.

Im saying that prohibition doesn't work. People are going to use substances regardless of the law against it. Our history shows this. And although the legalization process still isn't fully accepted, and implimented. There is hope. People smoking, and around the herb community, or basically anyone that knows anything about weed, then knows it's not an illegal one substance, which is accompinied by meth and cocaine. They know the truth about cannabis, and people who refuse to acknowledge basic facts (good or bad) about the herb, are in denial, and happily ignorant. Maybe even scared to a certain degree. I think there's hope man. But we'll see.

Well, there's a lot of burdens that stop Cannabis from legalization.

Under federal law, its categorized as a schedule 1 dangerous narcotic. The people who caused this to be under that category are mainly the pharmaceutical companies (illegal lobbying), DEA (they are the directors to classify whether a drug is detriment or harmless), federal government, other competitive industries and of course, anti-drug propaganda.

It has a possibility under medical use though to it's because of its medicinal properties (CBD) found in Indica subscribed to medical patients. It has to first go under medical to disprove that absurd false contradicting "It has no medical benefit" bullshit that has debated for the last 20+ years. Due to scientific research and advocating from the AMA (American Medical Association), heads have to been turning but it's still a battle against injustice and the quality of life.

State government has the ability to enforce a law or deny a law but still federal government overrides it's technical status, that's the main problem. The question is: How can we get Cannabis to legalize underneath federal law?

Cannabis isn't wrong but it's the people who have a hard time turning heads, they cannot outside their view from a different perspective (out of the box) so they think it's wrong without challenging the status quo. There's no need to feel guilty, you are an adult and have the right to put what's inside your body.
