I don't get high -- because of my medication?

    Besides the first maybe 7 times that I've smoked, I just don't really get high. I've smoked/vaped every so often four about 9 months, and I just don't really get high. Maybe I don't understand what high is. The first couple of times I smoked I knew I was high because I felt all weird and good, I don't feel that way anymore when i smoke/vape.

    Most of the time that I smoke I'll smoke maybe 2 by myself or 3 bowls with 2 people. When I vape I use the bag/balloon, which is real big. I also don't get the feeling with that.

    I'm thinking maybe why I don't get high, is because of the medication I'm on. I'll list the meds but I don't expect anyone to know anything about them. Here are the meds I'm taking:

    Risperidone 1.25ml for tourettes
    Atomoxetine (strattera) 13ml for ADHD
    Fluoxetine (Prozac) 20ml for tourettes/ocd, which is an antidepressant

    If anyone wants to do research on that that'd be so great, or maybe if you have prior knowledge just let me know. I'd love to find this out, it makes me so mad. Unless I'm doing something wrong, the medication is the only thing I can think of that would affect it.

    It's possible. I know certain unmentionables don't work for me, or work differently because of medication. Never heard about it with weed though.

    My only ideas is you have no clue what the 'high' is off marijuana so you don't realize you are, which is very unlikely because even the most tolerant people can tell a marijuana high. But my hunch is telling me you're not inhaling properly, thus not letting THC get fully into your bloodstream. The ADHD pill/prozac pill i would imagine would only intensify a marijuana high from what I've read.

    hopefully you can find out what's not working right because Marijuana definitely sounds like it could benefit you instead of taking those medications!

    Another question: Do you know the relative quality of the Marijuana you purchased?

    After a little research, it's the Risperidone blocking the high. It blocks dopamine.

    IT is def possible. I used to take a synthetic opiate almost daily and I noticed that I could only get a litte high when on a lot of those, every time
    It could just be what you're smoking tho..or something else

    Alright I'll have to look into the Rispiridone. I think I've been on it ever since I started smoking.

    And Bubbs, I don't think the quality of the weed is a problem, many times I've smoked with friends and they've said it's some awesome bud. So I don't think that's an issue.

    your probably already fucked up off the meds, your just used to it so you don't realize and the high off weed is already fairly subtle compared to amphetamines which acts on your dopamine and the anti deppresants which act on your seratonin... what more could weed do? maybe make you feel a bit funny off the cannabinoids but that's about it

    if you can function without risperidone GET OFF THAT SHIT
    hell, if you can, get off all of that stuff, prozac is bad news too, i don't know anything about atomoxitine though

    antipsychotics and other prescription drugs that are supposed to make you "normal" generally just turn people into zombies in my experience, and I know many people who've easily trained themselves to function "normally" without them. Try replacing those shitty meds with weed man, I think you might benefit greatly from that

    Agreed, this could be a possibility. If someone takes a stimulant(strong one) before smoking weed, this is what happens..you just don't get higher
    I've made the mistake myself
