I don't get high anymore (different)

Discussion in 'Seasoned Marijuana Users' started by DJ Life Alert, May 19, 2018.

  1. Ok lemme start this off with this I AM NOT FLEXING HOW MUCH I SMOKE because I fucking hate when these kids do that.

I'm gonna make this short I used to smoke weed everyday for 3 years and for a whole year I'd smoke 5-10 blunts everyday half the time without people. It came to the point where I was smoking a shit ton of weed to feel normal.
Then I got into a hard case (that I beat) but I decided to stop hanging in the hood and took a whole year tolerance break. Still got good grades and functioned fine never thought about weed until I got my life straight again.
So I smoked for the first time in a while didn't get too high but I felt a little something. Next time I just faced a whole blunt to myself and nothing and I to be honest I don't think it's tolerance I think its just being used to it in every situation.
    VERY IMPORTANT for example
    1. I used to always do hard task stoned. One memory people have of me in highschool was being in the back seat of a car smoking/selling drugs while using my scale as a straight edge for my homework
    2. I worked at wendys and I would smoke before my shift and on my break because they let me. This got me mentally stable to take orders, be in the public, handle money, and use my memory (this got rid of the anxiety of "everyone knows im stoned")
    3. I also used to run my own FM radio station where I'd smoke at least 2gs right before going on everyday.
What I am trying to say is that nobody can tell a difference if im sober or not im the same and I don't think it's my tolerance I think it's my own mind just controlling the high. Because I see people on here smoking for decades and still get stoned.
Also I've used vapes, every pipe possible, concentrates. Even with those I dont get high at all. I just get this hustle feeling like I gotta work and make money whether its homework a job or dealing.

So do you guys think that it's possible that my tolerance isn't the issue and its actually my mind just so used to the state of being fucked up and just makes me feel normal i guess... I feel normal whether i am sober or high, im comfortable in my own skin.

I understand your always high so ur just living life that way.... and killing it lol. Most ppl treat getting high like a treat only doing it after work or on the weekends, others are high 24/7 and living life doing everything high.
I’ve been the same way the last 4 years think I struggled the 1st month or so then it all became normal. When I’m not high ppl look at me, squinting, and ask me if I’m high.” I’m like no not yet.”

In response, I stay medicated throughout the day, and for the most part my life in general. The only time I usually end up taking a break is during a hospital stay and sometimes for a few days to a week after, I won't feel like smoking at all. But essentially, I'm the same way, I've been medicating the same way for so long now, me being high is me being "normal" as far as others can tell.

  4. The fact that you're able to do things as you normally would, and the fact that you say you're comfortable in your skin whether you're high or not, sounds like you're simply able to remain conscious even though you're medicated. To me, being high is not a state of euphoria to the point where all you can do is zone out on it to the point where you're not able to function, to me, being medicated is just that, smoking to relive symptoms while having to go about my day, or my night.

I have always been able to function, work my career, study my classes, take my exams, party with my friends, attend family gatherings, and do all of the things that I normally would, whether or not I'm high. My employers, my professors, my friends, and my family, none of them can tell the difference between my sober self and my medicated self. I am who I am.

This means that, like many of us, you're capable of being a responsible cannabis user.

Are you saying that you're unable to sense the feeling of being medicated? That you're not able to tell the difference between when you've smoked and when you're sober? If so, try different strains throughout your day, or try smoking less throughout your day...?

  5. Makes sense to me. Weed is context driven. Doing completely new things might make you "feel" more high. Feeling is subjective. Comes down to how you want to frame your current experiences a lot of the time.
