hey there. i am starting to notice my seedling with the largest leaves to droop a little. They arent completely green either , they have a rather purple tint. I did some research and decided to try and go the nitrogen route. So i got a mini pH test kit , of course it for aquariums... shit. I put a tad bit of dirt at the top and squeezed some solution on top and let it run down the sides. The color was a darker blue so its was more alkaline. I then found this PH buffer solution used for aquarium tanks. Its rather large so i put in maybe a total of 10 drops per plant. not too much , just kinda doused at the bottom of the stem and a little around. I then watered a bit to push the solution down. Im going to test the plants PH tomarrow. I now have two 100W (23W?)CFLs in there over top of the two plants. Before this happened i added a fertilzer solution which i picked up. It had some nitrogen in it so im thinking that i added too much. I am hoping this PH Buffer solution will do the trick. Anyone have any comments? Because i seriously dont know what i am doing
prepare new pots, and transplant your seedlings, they need no help from us for 3 weeks , & at that time the ferts need to be started @ 1/4 strength and gradually work your way up in strength this will get you out of trouble and have time to do some reading here , start in the "absolute beginners section" you will learn alot & "member jcj77d" knows how to get you ontrack if your stuck or need further explanation, do some reading in here in the sick plants and you will learn what not to do.
thanks man. so new pots and new soil. Eventually i knew i had to do it , i didnt know that it would have to be so soon. thanks.
