  8. Wait, does the PS3 come with a browser? or are you running Linux or another OS on it?

  10. It comes with a browser. I need to cop a keyboard for it though, and I don't want to connect and reconnect my mouse everytime I want to use it on the PS. I'm going to install linux on it but I haven't read up on it at all so I have no clue how to go about it, or work it.

Agh... what a tease though, can go on bangbros but cant download wmv's

  11. Here's a youtube video of a guy that has Fedora Core running on the PS3

And here's a complete run through/guide to install Fedora Core on a PS3

If you need help you can either PM me, or post on my Linux thread and someone will prolly jump in and help you

  12. Whats the difference between all the linuxs? I've seen way to many 3 letter acronyms to know what they all mean.

  13. all linux distributions (hereafter referred to as a "distro") operate on the same principal. the difference in the different distros are what Linux Kernal they use, the windows manager (graphical user interface), and the software that's packaged with it.

some linux distros are easy to install and come with hard drive partitioners built in, it's pretty much point and click, others require knowledge of the command line (similar to DOS in windows) to install them.

you can go to.... www.distrowatch.com for a complete guide to the different linux distros, including which one would be right for you

If you want to have all your questions answered plus general knowledge go to http://www.linux-tutorial.info/

edit: and the wikipedia entry, pretty easy to read and grasp: http:/http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linux

  14. My buddy picked one up today. They had one come in as a return I guess. He snatched it up right quick!

I'm sure I'll get to fuck around with it soon enough. :)

    Jealous.
