growing is seriously addictive and since I started this first time I can't stop taking pictures of every step that my plants has taken (I'm proud of the progress). I'm low on space and heat was an issue so I may a few modifications(I installed a styrofoam cooler with ice paks to keep the tent cool on warm days). I used this site for tips but never really signed up and this was my weird way of saying Hello and thanks. I just start week 2 of flowering and so far so good. I havent done any cropping or bending or... all the other magic ways to increase yeild I found online. Just coco, perlite, bottle notes and I used a miko start pak cause.... it was free Top 2 are Northern Light Bottom right is White Widow Bottom left is Bubba Kush I will be installing the carbon filter soon once i start to smell some dank lol
Looking good and welcome! I gotta say, I'm the same way. I have to force myself to not do the same thing.
Honestly for the first few grows taking a look every day is a good thing and I highly suggest it. You get a better understanding of the plant and how it grows and reacts. If you’re looking once a week makes it hard to narrow issues down. Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
I've been growing over 40 years thats 40 years of checking my plants about 2x times day...I still love it.. cheers/
Thanks guys, and to think I was nervous on signing up to this page. I think I may be here alot more often. Thanks for the comments and any feedback you guys have I'm open to critique Sent from my SM-G965U using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Ah yea. I have a small one on the floor. It kept sliding down the pole, but I'll raise them tonight Sent from my SM-G965U using Grasscity Forum mobile app
They look good. Start taking notes when you check them. Write the temp, rh. This way you can start saving data and when you on the second, third, 1000 grow you can tell how your tent reacts with environmental control as the plants grow. Sent from my SM-G960U using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Your right... I should do more then stare at them for 5 minutes at a time . I'll start daily logs via onenote. Sent from my SM-G965U using Grasscity Forum mobile app
lol I feel you!!!!! I’ll be higher than shit go peak my head in my tent and just be there gazing for 5-10 minutes!!! You’re not alone! The more notes you can take the better!! The more learning you can do the first year the better plus you’ll be able to look back at notes for strains you’ve ran if you decide to run them again. Some musts for my tent -Laser thermometer -Sensor push hygrometer (smart sensor) Has an app that give you good info! -bamboo sticks -pipe cleaners If I think of anything else I’ll post it. Just some upgrades. And remember there’s no one right way to do this figure out what works for you! Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum
I was like that my 1st grow spent a hr a night with 1 plant. It’ll become a burden to care for your plants someday but always worth it in the end.
I always check on my plants a few times a day my girl gets annoyed. I spend too much time in there lol
Update.. I'm still pushing thru. I know I'm making lots of mistakes with ph and nutrient levels. They look ok but I know I can do better... I recently purchase a more accurate ph monitor for the R.O. water I been using. I flush after 2 or 3 nutrient applications to keep it from getting bad. Maybe I need to lay off the nutes for a bit. Also this is a small unfinished room so I'm sure some CO2 would help... At this point im just looking forward to whatever this yeilds... Thanks and happy growing guys Sent from my SM-G965U using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Give it time. After 30 years of growing I'm glad I can get away from the grow. It consumed me when I first started but I got tired of watching life pass me up. My grows on auto pilot now. I can leave for extended periods of time and it will be fine.
Thanks, I'm working on setting up a nice auto pilot system with my next grow. Also been looking up Rapid Led's I may invest in a few if possible Sent from my SM-G965U using Grasscity Forum mobile app
A few pics of the final grow. I could have done better with the nutrient deficiencies late into flowering. I also could have harvested a bit later also. My next grow will have a net as I see the buds towards the later stages get heavy enough to completely bend the branches if not completely breaks them.. I was a great learning experiences and I'm taking everything I've learned into the next batch. Takes guys for all the pointers Sent from my SM-G965U using Grasscity Forum mobile app
