I can't remember ANYONE'S name and it sucks!! I just got a call back from an interview saying I was hired and to go in tomorrow to fill out paperwork, but now I'm thinking and I'ma walk in there tomorrow oblivious to the fact that I don't remember the woman's name that just called me... I THINK it was Holly.. But anyway, I don't know what to choose because even though this job is there and open I also got a call from my cousin to apply for this rep job at a clinic she works at, it pays more so I'm more interested in that position but I need to start working asap. What would you do? Take up a hostess job for $9/hr or wait for an interview from the clinic which might happen but who know's WHEN.
Why not take the hostess job until you find out for sure if you can get the job at the clinic? That's what I'd do.
As far as forgetting people's names, this is all too common. Just smile, laugh, and say you have a hard time remembering names. Then be damned sure to write her name down afterwards so you don't forget. IMO take the hostess job! I worked in a restaurant for over a year, and I know that hostesses have the easiest job of the whole restaurant. If you just need cash to pay for gas and some bullshit, then chill with the hostess job for sure.
By the way any suggestions on what I should do to get her name.. maybe I should call and ask if there's anyone by the name of Holly but I can't disguise my voice and I WOULD be the one to fail and get noticed.. ah.fsdfdsf. shit.
I would just go in, say someone called you and you forgot their name. Give your name if they know to look for you. What really sucks is today I was at work, and someone called me on my walkie talkie to come fix a computer somewhere out in the plant. I was to high to know who it was or where to go so I stumbled around aimlessly until I saw one of the maintence guys waving me down.
Yeah, I guess that's I'ma do too, since I reallyyyyyyy need to get to work and waiting is a drag. Lol, yeah but I'ma have to say something to get me through the door and without a name I feel stupid. But I guess I'm have to try SOMETHING. Aw man. Lol. /sigh
