i can really only get high the first time?

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by preewee, May 15, 2011.

  1. Say i smoke a bowl and I get high. An hour or two later i decide that i'm coming down, and I smoke another bowl. I dont really get the same high that I got from the first time. I just get a general baked feeling thats not comparable to the initial high. Anyone else get this?

  2. Maybe because you went from sober to high, and then sort of high to more high......?

It's just a more noticeable difference, bro.

  3. Yeah I get this all the time. You either have to smoke way more than a bowl the second time or just don't smoke that day. What I like to do is say toke at 12pm and then take a nap later in the day and smoke at like 9pm, always works for me. But I just prefer to get really blazed one time instead of multiple times throughout the day.

  4. yeah i think everyones like that.

  5. You're smoking yourself sober.

  6. i use to get this, but now that ive been smoking for awhile i just smoke again and im fine.

  7. happens to everyone who smokes a good amount of pot, no smoke will be as good as your first smoke of the day. I used to have this exact problem, I would get high enough to a level where I was satisfied, then, after I came down and would smoke more, it wouldn't be as strong, and as a result, I wouldn't be satisfied with my high.

In my experience, the longer in the day you wait to smoke, the more enjoyable the initial smoke is, and all smokes after that.

I'd try waiting until later in the day for your first smoke. Not only will you feel higher, but you'll probably end up smoking less bud/day, thus lowering your tolerance, enabling you to get more high.

  8. your body is used to being high when you're just reboosting

the first smoke sesh is just a different feeling after that you're used to it... smoke bowls all day, never worry about this again. lol

  9. The first high of the day is the best for sure. After that you're in pursuit of that same high, but it's always weaker or just an additional high. Like, the actual high isn't there as much, it's just compounded chill. For me at least.

  10. i think you have the curse of mids bro

  11. Definitely not man, this happens to everyone. You probably just have a low tolerance if it doesn't.

  12. Yeah, that sort of happens, I'd say it has to do with the experience, going from sober to high vs high-ish to higher.
That's why my two favorite smokes of the day are; the first one of the morning, and the last one of the night, the night one because I keep loading until I'm good to go to bed...

    Happy Toking!

  13. After cannabinoid receptors are initially triggered with your first smoke they tend to shutdown a % of themselves to keep you from getting too burnt out at one time. In my experience a minimum of 7 hours from the last toke of your first smoke and your first toke of your second smoke will give you the exact same super stimulating high as your first.

  14. um...you can't unsmoke the weed you smoked earlier. like if you drink 8 shots and wait an hour or two, and then drink more, you don't get drunk like you did your first round, you get drunk like when youve been drinking.
