I beat up a purse snatcher tonight

  1. And if you knew anything about economics you'd realize that the term communist nation is completely contradictory. Communism is a classless, stateless society without national divisions of any kind -- it's a global society. Therefore, to even say "communist nation" or "communist state" is an oxymoron, of course it's "doomed to fail".

How many examples can you look back to make such a claim "never been, and never will be" ?? One. REAL SOLID EVIDENCE. The most backwards country in Europe, which wasn't even capitalist to begin with. That's your supposed proof that communism is a failure? What a joke. Go back to your bourgeois economics class, asshole. You'll eat those words in less than five years.

  2. I'm an economics major (3rd yr hon) with a focus on macroeconomics and international trade/relations. Thanks for agreeing with me-- it is doomed to failure, on any scale. If you can't understand why the globalization of communism WILL NEVER HAPPEN and is inherently impossible to function economically on that kind of scale, this debate has run its course.

You built up all your praise and understanding of why communism wasn't able to expand and work efficiently based on the history of one European nation when it is the ideology in both theory and practice that is severely flawed and would be in any situation/nation regardless of the specific political, social and economic circumstances. Communist Russia isn't the only example of communism's inevitable failure-- what about China, East Germany, Cuba, Kampuchea, Vietnam, Laos, North Korea, Ethiopia, Angola, Benin, Mozambique, and the Congo region? The proletariat definitely were/are holding the reigns in those nations, no economic and sociopolitical turmoil whatsoever. Yup, you're right, in years to come world leaders of capitalist states will recognize the enormous gains and optimum standards of living that citizens of these nations enjoy and reform their economies accordingly.

With the knowledge that exists in the public domain and the fact that this kind of system has been employed again and again throughout our history only to result in completely missing its objectives and ultimately failing, I find it hard how the Marxist ideology is able to still have supporters. Pseudo-intellectualism at its finest I suppose.

  3. Good post.

Industrial is delirious if he actually believes in the bullshit he chooses to post. Illusions of grandeur and fallacious arguments are what his posts are comprised of, nothing more.

  4. Fuck this thread and whoever continues to bump this piece of shit. Billy Bad Ass here beat up a faggot purse snatcher, give him his props and let this thread die already.

  5. i love how people say, "if this is true, blah blah" No shit it's true.. people just don't make that shit up all randomly..

  6. None of those were working class revolutions bringing the proletariat to political power. None of them gave democratic control over economic life. They were based on the bankrupt politics of Stalinism, Maoism, and other petty-bourgeois politics, not working class ideology, not Marxism. Only the Russian Revolution in 1917 led by Lenin and Trotsky brought the working class to political power, but under conditions of isolation and backwardness, it degenerated into a bureaucratic dictatorship which betrayed the revolution and eventually restored capitalism.

That was the history of Russia, but by no mean does that automatically make the entire theory null and void. It's well known to marxists that the socialist revolution is to begin in the most advanced capitalist countries first, like the US, Germany, Japan, etc. Certain circimustances in the 20th century prevented this from happening. However, the same contradictions which lead to the great depression and the revolutionary struggles still exist, and in the 21st century they will crystalize into a full blown world socialist revolution.

  11. How long have you been on the internet? lol. But seriously, I find it hard to believe that he did what he did to the extent and specifics that he listed. I don't know about you, but if I'm attacking someone I'm not counting punches and making sure I have a play by play in my head ready to recall, and as I said I think he's exaggerating because an attack like that has quite the potential to result in life threatening injuries. If he's not, then I think he overreacted and nobody deserves to lose their life over that, even though the thief is a piece of shit.
