It feels to me as though, on this most inauspicious day of 4/20 that it is just the same as any other day, and on any other day I could incinerate the smallest amount of weed; or the largest. Ergo, what is the speciality of a day that can so easily be celebrated on any other superficial day, with the same features?
It's special because you know all the stoners in the world are sparkin somethin on 4/20 - Especially at 4:20 am/pm - and everything in between/after!
Some people make big plans, some people don't. Myself, I'm just hanging out with a few friends, listening to some music and smoking some bowls. It's special because you know that it's a national day that represents marijuana.
The day will not matter to much, even if it considered to be devoted to it, that is just by the stoners. If you get caught by the police you will see how much they believe in the day. They will not cut you any breaks.
Theres nothing special about it if you look down upon it as just another day. But its a day where stoners of all different backgrounds smoke and you know that all throughout the nation, and even in other countries, people are lighting up. Theres plenty of holidays that are fucking moronic, like flag day. 420 actually represents our unity, and makes us feel like a valid group.
