I adopted a weed plant and I need help

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by Ap0, Dec 23, 2010.

  1. So my friend - a grower - was moving to another country and had to get rid of his weed plants. He gave me a clone of a strain unknown to me - also this is the first time I get into this.

This happened about a week ago and so far I've been reading up and following forums to know what best ways to get at it.

But enough about that - here's the situation of the plant -

As I already said it's a clone. I got it in mid winter (just recently) and had to haul it back to my place in a bag where it got a little bit crushed [IMG]. So far I've been watering it just a little every time I suspect the soil getting dry. It's in a tiny glass container and I'm too scared to transplant it right now knowing it's already been shocked from the move. I've got it under a 40W CFL veg light with a 16/8 hour cycle. It's been 2-3 days and I don't know what further steps to take to ensure the growth of the plant. Also should I attempt transplant?

    Enlighten me

Not completely - its been a couple days and it's still green.

Also I'm just fishing for tips/advice to bring this plant up and running again.

  4. hate to say it bro but it looks all dried up, wilted and dead for a clone. looks like it came out of the humidity dome too early.

if you were at all gonna save it your gonna need to get some sort of humidity dome fashioned over that poor little thing...but im highly doubting its gonna pull thru

if i were you i would start over if you wish to persue this hobby.

maybe your freind didnt leave yet and has some qaulity beans for you?

    best of luck

  5. It's dead. And to be honest, it would've died. You never wanna use a clear ANYTHING to put plants in, roots hate light..hence people always use black buckets or paint black on pots or w/e.

  6. Glass jar= no drainage which is not good.

  7. Jesus christ lmao. I saw pretty much every flaw except this one. Made me laugh really hard.

  8. Yeah - I was ambitious. I didn't want to give up on it and I do know that I would not have planted this seedling in a glass pot if I had the original seed. Remember this is not me - this is my friend moving who just gave it to me.

Wtv - I've got some more seed germinating.

    Thanks for the help anyway
