Hypothetical Dilemma: The Curse Of Capitalism

Discussion in 'Philosophy' started by Insurgency, Mar 27, 2012.

  1. In the year 2015 Scientists and Philosophers both agree that it is virtually certain that if Capitalism continues the human race will become extinct in 50 years.

We either abandon capitalism as an economic model, or continue to be capitalists and watch our miserable race die out.

All the countries of the world decide that the decision should not be in the hands of any one individual, and that therefore a voting ballet should be held.

What will you vote for and what is your philosophical reasons for doing so?

  2. Quick philosophical question. How can scientists and philosophers agree in the year 2015 when its 2012?

  3. On a side note capitalism could easily work if i was the one with all the money and power.

  4. Capitalism: The people who work the hardest and are the most innovative have the most power.

Socialism: It doesn't matter how smart you are or how hard you work, everyone should have equal power.

^ which one of those make the most sense to you?

The government is a much greater threat than capitalism ever will be.

This should be in the politics section.

And finally, lmfao "scientists and philosophers agree that the world will be destroyed in 50 years by capitalism". LOL funny stuff.

  5. Obviously,

    Humanity > Capitalism

Capitalism > any other actual economic model
