    just a quick question. are you suppose to rinse the pebbles off before putting them in the net pot?

    Yes they get rinsed then soak them in 5.5 ph'd water

    Yes. A lot of dust on them and in the bag. Don't want it in your res and lines etc

    shit alright all i did was rinse mine i did not soak them? i did notice my res was murky from the pebbles. should i flush my res?

    I'm new to hydro, but I'm using hydroton. At first I gave them a quick rinse, res looked very nasty afterward. I then cleaned everything table, res and pots then soaked my balls (lol) for 48 hours in plain water, rinsed. Now I have a clean table and res.

    i checked my res today and it wasnt murky but im sure its cuz all the dust from the balls has settle but my ph was really high at . the night before it was 5.5
    i set it back to that and im going to see if it raises a lot again if so i shall flush the res :smoke:
