Hey people, is there anything special to do with new hydroton? I washed with hot water, now ready for next step, can you help me here?
Other than soaking it for about 24 hours before you add it to your netpot, all I do i wash and use....
Rinse it to remove dust then soak in pH adjusted water. The gentleman above me says 24 hours, personally I go for just an hour.
rinse it good. really good. its air injected dirt thats put through an oven. u need to make sure all the dirt particles are rinsed off or ull be using reddish brown water for a couple changes. my rocks always float around so i dont really know y ud need to soak them.
