Going to be starting a new grow soon (Tangerine Dream and G13 Haze!!) and have been trying to figure out exactly how I want to grow. Definitely want to do some Hempy buckets--just not exactly sure on the mixture. I was thinking 3 gallon buckets with an inch or so of Hydroton at the bottom, 75/25 perlite/coco mix, then another layer of Hydroton at the top to help not disrupt roots when watering. Any suggestions?
personally I would go with the 5 gallon bag the 3 gal isn't that big. Idk how they measure it I can only fit about 1 1/2 to 2 gal of medium in the 3gal. and there's really no reason to use hydroton with the hempy bags they drain fine, and my roots don't get disturbed when i water.
