The last time I grew I used Emily's Garden (hydroponic with wicks) and I could smell the nutrient solution in my bedroom. This was using General Hydroponics nutrient solution. This time I am thinking of using soil with drip irrigation, hoping that the smell would be less than hydroponic. Am I correct that there would be less nutrient smell using soil? If I have drip irrigation would that smell as well? Should I be more concerned about the type of nutrient solution? (I'm going organic this time)
it won't smell half as bad (good!) as buds in full flower! Get some carbon filters! Cooker hood filters will do for a small scale grow. Were u growing in an open space or something? Don't know anyone who's had success with weed in wick systems as the plants are so fkin greedy when they get big!
My drip system doesnt smell at all.. not even the water in the res smells the tiniest bit "nutrienty"... Fuck knows
Stoned, It looks like some of your plants are soil and one is in hydroton? What kind of nutes are you using?
