Hydrogen Peroxide For Slime?

Discussion in 'Hydroponic Growing' started by specialbaker, Jun 12, 2013.

  1. trying to clear up my slimy root problem and was thinking about using peroxide to clear it up wanted to know if anyone has had experience with it or had any other diy suggestions

  2. Had the slime. Soaked the roots in peroxide and water, cleanded the rez and all buckets with it including pumps and hoses. It took care of the problem and it didn't come back. I also use Great White which I think helps. Good luck.

  3. Using h2o2 helps you temporarily but does not cure it, in fact it kills the very helpful beneficial microbes.

  4. The h2o2 will kill the benies. That is why I suggest and use great white.
