Any potable water will do. Just make sure it's PH is between 5.6 and 6.0. If you use tap water, let it sit out for 24 hrs. before you use it. This will allow the chlorine and other chemicals to evaporate. Good luck.
Hi... A lot of hydro growers (myself included) use a Reverse Osmosis filter. I have well water that has a ppm of around 250. The R.O. filter brings it down to around 50 and levels the PH right at 7.0. If you have 'good' city water then the suggestions from Mad4 will work just fine. Good Luck
