what up city? its been a while since i posted anything, but have a few grows under my belt and i feel good about this ebb & flow table i have. my question is, should i turn the pump on every hour for 18 hours if so how long? also what about when lights are out? i'm growing auto blueberry and dinnafem road runner using bontiacare nutes, also using hydroton. any help?
a full flood 4-6 times a day is usually fine, but some depends on the drain tubes and the pump size. big drain - empties fast, small drain, slow drip. and big pump - fast flood, small pump - slow flood. you can't really overwater them if you allow for proper drainage between cycles. grow rocks (hydroton) drain fast, so more cycles are fine. giving them at least one flood at night will help prevent some occasional evil shit.
sub-evil shit like coming in your grow room and seeing a net of dry, brown roots all over the table instead of a nice white mat of wet roots... thats about as evil a tragedy as i can think of. that or re-electing george bush maybe.
