Hi im new here and new to hydroponics but my question is,,,, well i bought this 18 gallon DWC tub with 8 sites for plants and a fish tank bubbler, and a 400 watt light and i bought the genral hydro series of nutrients,, why does the tub size need to be so big? and im wanting to use it for lowriders seeds we got,, and when i plant the rockwool in the cups is it suppose to sit on the bottom of the cup or what?? or do i put the clay pellets in bottom of cup then add plant... any advice will be appreciated.. thanks
i've never used rockwool so i can't help u there, but as for the reservoir, i'm guessing it's so big because u have 8 plant sites. i have a 5 bucket DWC set up, 1 res and 4 plant buckets, they're all 3.5 gallons though...what kind of system do u have?
