HVY Glass- 9mm 8 arm straight tube question

  1. So I am thinking of picking up a HVY Glass- 9mm 8 arm straight tube from ***. I would be putting a Alex K 18/18mm showerhead on it btw. My question is, I think I would also like to get a Headford Clear Incline A/C (18mm) for it but I am concerned that it might make it to heavy for the base. Does anyone either have this water pipe and know if it can support a good sized a/c or not or else have some knowledgeable answer? I know I could just get a beaker style over the straight and save $10 bucks, but I am getting this water pipe to replace my last one which was a beaker that broke at the base and I am paranoid to get another beaker after that.
    Thanks for the help!

  2. I have a hvy 9mm beaker, and ive seen the 9mm straights. They stand pretty damn stout. I'd say the base should be wide enough and the tube should be heavy enough to put most a/c's on it.

  3. Thanks for the input. If I may ask, do you notice if the beaker is thinner then 9mm, especially around the bottom?

  4. i think NotoriousCheech on here has the exact same set up. you can ask him.

  5. The beaker is a little bit more thin than the chamber id say. The straight is very sturdy 9mm all the way thru. Also consider on 9mm thick peices the chamber bore is always smaller, in most cases. I.E. on my 9mm HVY the bore is claimed to be 50MM but id say its 45MM. It hits great paired up with an Alex K, so i cant complain.
