When storing your harvest, how does its humidity effect smoking? I am in the habit of keeping mine dryer than most, as a method of avoiding mold. It seems to me that humid makes it much harsher when in my throat and lungs.
i typically store my cannabis with a 62% Boveda pack in a glass jar. I use the humidity pack as I don't smoke much bud, preferring live rosin, and keep it awhile. When I am going to smoke I take out what I need, break it up a bit, and then let it dry out for a day. This works well for me and I don't notice my smoke being harsh.
I use the tinted/UV 1/2 gallon glass jars and the Boveda packs. I dry/cure my weed at 60% RH at 60 degrees F
I too dry mine extra dry then leave the top off the jar for the weed to suck all that moisture back up, a rough estimate would be dry at 80%rh ...lol then allow it to suck up the wet to about 75% rH it saves on boveda's that do the same, regardless it all hits the same bowl
I live in an area with high humidity. Lots of stuff that I stock will grow mold if I am not careful. As a result most of the things I stock get dried out extremely well. Which includes my buds and kief. When smoking my buds, they seem to be fairly smooth smoking. However, I have noticed that when I smoke 'prerolled' they are noticeably higher humidity, and as a result the smoke itself is a lot more harsh.
