  1. Ok well Right at the moment i am useing a Halogen light to Warm things up in my basement

aswell as my fluoro's to ""light the plants up""

i am hoping this will take down some humidity and put in some Heat in their...

anyone kno something else i could use to Dehumidify

...and no i cannot go and buy a $100 dehumidifier....

any tips // help would be greatful .........

  2. Heat and air circulation. The humidity as long as its under 80% is ok. Use a fan to bring the warm air from your upstairs down to the basement.

  3. alright cool thanks ... ill try that, but i also have a halogen light, making it steady at 80%, with my lights aswell.... im goin to turn my fan on and make the heat circulate... for less humidity.... ....cause every time i leave the halogen light on for 4 minutes
the humidity drops to 80% exact... im going to leave it on with the fan now... and see what happens....

    thanks for the tip

  4. yelp that should do it also a cheap way of pulling water out of the air is by putting a 5-10lb bag of rocksalt in a kitty litter box as it will absorb the water out of the air fairly fast.

  5. hehe too bad i don't have a cat... otherwise i would

but this halogen light is working ok.... my plants seem to be fine in humid conditions anyways... but ya im going to figure out a way to put a stop to it,

thanks for the input :smoking: :D

i will be posting pics of my gro soon

  6. your not using that halogen for lighting the plant, are you? halogen spectrum is useless to mj.

  7. Damp Rid is an inexpensive product at Wal-Mart, Home Depot, etc. It is crystals that absorb moisture from the air, eventually they dissolve and you replace them. First get the kit that comes with the little tub, then get the big "milk carton" of just crystals to refill thereafter. Each should run about $5.

This won't dehumidify a whole basement but is pretty good for a small room.
