Humidity

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by ChillyWilly5, Mar 10, 2012.

  1. My seedlings are about ready to pop. My humidity is really low, like high teens to low twenties on average. I know for veg state you want higher humidity. Should I try to raise it or just let it be??

  2. Our seedlings are a couple of inches tall now and we started them on the kitchen counter with a couple of cfls hanging above them, never thought of checking the humidity, lol. Normal humidity range is about 30-50% for veg. We have always kept an eye on the humdity in the veg and flower room it just never crossed our minds to see what the humifity is when we start seedlings and we always start them on the kitchen counter about a foot or so away from the microwave.

  3. 2 of my sprouts have popped to where I can see about 1/4' of green. The other 3 have not. Should I be keeping them covered?

Keep them covered at least till you see roots coming out of the bottom.

  5. imo keeping them covered will inhibit fresh air exchange. Raise the humidity if possible. Draping a wet towel over my clothes basket with a fan blowing on the towel raises the humidity in closed room, double digits, add my humidifier too if needed.

  6. Plants that small aren't affected by air exchange.
