Humidity really low?

  1. Hello! im currently growing in a closet of mine and my humidity is only at 22-26% and my temps are like 77-82..im confused why this is so low, shouldnt it be between 40-50%..? Any replies will be appriciated! Thanks

  2. how big are your plants? I suspect as they get bigger you will have less of an issue, here I regularly use a dehumidifier to try to lower it a little.
you can always leave open containers of water in with them

  3. They are only about a week old, 5 plants. Just checked the humidity again and its still at 24%..so yeah I might see if it raises at all or put some water in the closet..I figured itd be higher then that since all my soil is wet.

  4. you could put a bucket of water in there with a heat mat under it or a fish tank heater in it. shallow pans evaporate quicker than deep buckets. you could get a humidifier or fogger but once the plants are a couple of weeks old they will be perspiring so much the humidity will be much higher

  5. Dude its Winter. Im at 35% in my basement right now and not worried. I have forced Hot Air heat which combined with the cold dry air and Wooila. Now if your in Orlando, I would be concerned. You can humidify by leaving an open container of water, Mist the plants, or use a humidifier.
