hey. I bought a 400w HPS bulb and a 50w HPS bulbs. But, I have nothing to screw the bulbs into. (no fixture) how much to fixtures cost? Could I use a regular house lamp for the 50w bulb? Since it has a lower watt than a normal light bulb, shouldnt the lamp be able to handle it? I just really wanted to know how much light fixtures were. Hope it's not too much.
The HPS bulbs have to run through a transformer to change the voltage to match the requirements of the bulbs. In some cases you may even find them to use DC power rather then AC power. Be careful they can burst if you use the wrong power.
