Venezuela's President Hugo Chavez is not a well man. He has struggled with cancer for a number of years but speculation is now rife that he is losing the battle. Hugo Chavez is in stable, but delicate condition following latest cancer surgery - NY Daily News
The people will just blame the new leader for the failures of Chavez, ex: Food shortages from price controls, violent crime from firearm ownership restrictions, etc.
I met some guys from venezuela a few years ago, they said the country is in bad shape with him in charge, they also said that they pay 1$ for an eighth of chronic
Jeez. I don't see why you would be cheering on this man's death... he was democratically elected multiple times despite private-interest media's attempts to paint him as a dictator, he is against the same imperialism that your messiah Ron Paul is. Let Venezuala decide its own destiny. Unless you are some private oil-company vampire type just waiting to make money off of another countries natural wealth, and if you are i'll see you in hell, then i don't see what this has to do with you. Your words read like the words of the exact corrupt politicians and big business-vultures you'd like to disassociate yourselves from. This guy and others inspired by him have fought tooth and nail against the crony influence of the IMF, the fed, the mainstream media, and most importantly the imperialistic behavior that gives your entire ideology a bad name. You should be sending him thank you letters, for keeping the shisty members of your little cult from continuing to make a mockery of the rest of you.

Although, Hugo has accomplished some amazing feats Imo, and probably has the only workable model of economic socialism. With that said however, I think he lost the re-election by 10% but frauded his way through. All the voter counters were of his party, and all international inquiries conclude with fraud
I can talk about his policies all day long, but I do support him speaking out against American imperialism and he doesn't play ball with America. He's demonized by the media, yet at the same time the government of Saudi Arabia isn't, because they are in bed with the Americans. He is supported by a lot of the country, I wouldn't wish death upon him. That's reserved for more extreme tyrants like north korea.
Nobody is "wishing death" upon him. So before you get your panties in a wad, read into what is actually being said. Sure, he's against US imperialism, that's fine & dandy. Doesn't mean he's any better than the rest of the lot. Venezuela doesn't have shit going for it other then it's oil reserves, and the only people that benefit from central economic planning are the people that actually centrally plan the economy, not the people.
I like that he speaks out against America's evil empire. That's about the only good thing I can say about him. Here's a decent Vice documentary about life in the violent slums of Venezuela. With that bulletproof argument, startling evidence, and dominant assertion that your opinion is worth more than an entire nation, i'm utterly convinced.... Not only does he speak out against American Imperialism, American Imperialism speaks out against him! Also i'm good on the Kool-Aid. Think for yourself.
1 - didn't claim he was better than any other dictator 2 - didn't claim anyone else was wishing death upon him 3- just saying i wouldn't do such a thing personally. alright??
I'm hoping your joking. Editorial: Chavez wins election despite Venezuela's economic problems » Evansville Courier & Press
Lol, trading one flavor of koolaid for another.
The quality of life for the average Venezuelan has improved quite a bit since he took over FYI
