HPS question

  1. I use a similar setup but with a 6" cool tube connected to my exhaust to draw air across the bulb to keep it cool. You will need a lot more than just an oscillating fan. Moving the air around is one thing, but you need to get rid of the hot and draw in cool.

I use a 4" 165CFM vortex fan inline that pumps into the attic. My space is a tad smaller than yours at 4x2x6. Temp ranges from 73-79 with house temps at 76.

  2. I used to grow in my closet. I had an air cooled (440 CFM vortex inline fan) 400w HPS in there with 2 fans blowing in the closet, and a window AC unit outside the closet. I still had a time keeping the temps to stay within range.

If you could Tee off the AC ducting and drop a 4" AC line into your closet then that would do a great deal to keep the heat at bay. :smoke:
