Do i need to go to HPS light to put my plants in flowering mode to weed out the males? Or should i stay with MH like i been doing to check for males then when i want them to flower go to the HPS I always used MH for years but wanted to know if going to HPS will speed thing up a bit?
If you can afford the power run the MH too on a mover as MH which on top of the added blue spectrum for veg also has small quantities of UV which are reputed to increase resin production. Only anecdotal evidence of the above though as far as I'm aware.
My grow room is 6x5x8(in feet) I been growing with 600wMH/HPSfor a bunch of years I have 8 plants right now that i put in flower mode 5 out of 8 plants is 20" tall and fat(wish i had some picks), the other 3 look like males kind of thined out in the middle. I dont have two lights so i have to switch light bulbs when flowering ,sucks but i'll live(plants grow nice).
