Hps & Mh Lights ??

    hey, can you please tell me what would be a good Metal Halide watt bulb for VEG. Cycle (400 watt?)??...(there will be like 15 plants hydro) . During the FLOWERING cycle im gona use a 500 watt hps.

    I've never seen a 500watt hps, however, if its a 400 just get a MH conversion bulb. A lot cheaper than getting a whole new light and works well. Also, if just half of those 15 are female you will need to be growing sog for it to be enough light. A 400hps will sufficiently cover a 3x3 area, seven plants grown by any other method but sog will not fit in that space.

    Yea, as confusing as that post was to me for some reason, :smoking: , youll need alot more light for 15.

    i use a 400 watt hps light for the entire growth stage, and ive never done hydro and im gonna start in the next week or so, a 400 watt hps should cover my needs huh? its in a hood with a tempered glass cover at the bottom and an extremly strong exhaust fan mounted inside the hood to stay nice and cool.
