I live in the UK-does anyone know any cheap suppliers for MH/HPS lighting? I'm not too sure if I should use floros for germination/sprouts then MH for vegging then HPS for flowering - maybe I should veg with HPS aswell would that increase my yield? and the potency? I get a little stuck when it comes to lights!!! Thanks mallett
if u got the cash a 400 watt hps would settle everything. just having one light makes ur grows alot easier
many thanks for the reply bud I have another question - the 5 flouros I am using at the moment are 60w each. I have 2 different types of tubes for them: opal 60w@415 lumens clear60w @465 lumens I'm beginning to think that I've bought incandescent tubes? the clear one has a bright glowing filament and the opal one is white so I can't see the filament - are any of these tubes worthless? I'm using a growspace of 2x2x3ft high = 150watts per square ft. I'm gonna use the flouros(if they are not incandescent) for seedlings and veg then switch to hps in my attic for flowering. mallett
I don't think i've ever heard of fluor's with a filiment so yeah you may have bought yourself either incandecents or halogen...post a pic and I can tell ya for sure...either way yeah HPS for veg and flowering is perfectly fine...
