I am soon to start an indoor grow in a small closet about 3x2x6 and when i tested my 400 watt HPS i realized there is no way I can grow with temperatures around 95 degrees. I had a decent size fan on high, but there isn't a way i can circulate air in and out. So i was wondering if it wouldn't be too hard on the plant and bulb if i was to alternate the light on and off every hour, while simultaneously running fluorescence?
I disagree. Boy what a pain it would be but if the light is not interupted to much it will not go hermie. If you keep the CFL on the entire 18/6 period and supplement it with the HPS, I anticipate the plant should be fine. I guess you can't get an exhaust fan set up in the room?
