  1. I'm going to be Buying a laptop soon cuz my computer is old as fuck so I'm doing some research into which one I want to buy.

I've been looking at the HP Pavilion dv7t Quad Edition series and most reviews I've read have been really good but I wanted to see if any blades have this laptop and what's your experience with it? Have you had any problems? What do you love about it and what do you hate about it?

If I get it I plan on upgrading to the full hd screen and also getting the 660GB 7200 rpm Dual Drive (160GB SSD/500GB 7200 rpm) with HP ProtectSmart Hard Drive Protection.

    Thanks and stay lit

  2. i have a hp pavillion dv7-6175us and its like the best laptop ive ever owned. i love it. totally worth it.

  3. Haven't owned it but from what I can tell from the specs it looks like a solid pc for the price. Comes with 4GB (but free upgrade to 8GB?) If so 4GB seems kinda of low but it will still do just fine. Max memory is 16GB so that isn't too bad, I'd upgrade to 8 though if you could. Core i7 so the processor is fine. The dual drive is def a good choice. 1-2GB GDDR5 integrated graphics is enough, and the HDMI is certainly a plus :) I would also go with the blu-ray optical drive, to future proof it

All in all a solid laptop, although it could use more than 4GB of RAM.

Yea I'm going with the 8gb free upgrade I would upgrade to the 16 but it's $400 more and I don't have that much after upgrading to the dual drive and full hd

  5. It's probably decent, but try looking at the HP ProBook/EliteBook lineups. They're a little higher-end business models.

I am just traumatized anytime I hear the world "Pavillion" and I start getting flashbacks of Compaq computers. Ahh!

  6. Everything said is completely false, and should only be deemed as entertainment material.[IMG]
