So I have an MH/HPS running the plants I care about. However, instead of throwing this plant away, I decided to bloom it with shitty lights. I ended up buying a 4 T5 light fixture and wiring it up. First Question: Each tube is 40 W and T5. Is 4 tubes enough to bloom a plant? Second Question: Should I take that metal diffuser off(second pic) or leave it on (first pic)? This whole set up cost me $30 total. If this will work, I will be proud. Probably shitty buds, but bud is bud right?
Those aren't CFL, they are florescent tubes. They seem spread way far apart. I run (6) T8's in my veg room and can only cover a footprint of 3x4. I'd bet that setup will veg some plants half assed, but they wont flower for shit under that setup.
So between using this for one plant and throwing away that plant (since I don't have room for it in the real grow room), you'd just throw the plant away? It'd be worth it to me, even if i got like 10 grams off the plant. Let me know what you think.
Your lights just arent going to produce good bud, you'd be better off using several CFLs around the plant.
