so this is my first loan plant and im really having trouble deciding when to harvest, the temp in my house is too cold for the plant im thinking thats why the leaves are turning purple
its been in 12/12 since sometime after halloween but before thanksgiving, its my first grow and i didnt know it was so important to keep record of all that,
Yo man, it's OK it's your first grow. This girl definitely has some issues. The hairs look good, but I hardly see any crystals on the leaves. Also, the red spots on your leaves and the very red stem tells me it was lacking nutrients. Have you been PH'ing your water? If you really want to do this right, you must do your research! It's hard work to make great herb, but man is it worth it!
She might be ready in days (56-70) but she is not really ready. Something got jacked up along the way and stunted her right about week 2 or 3. Prolly your PH was high or something and locked it up and then it never really recovered. Or it just got too dang cold or your light isn't really powerful. I'm sure you learned a lot. This bud will not be like the stuff you buy on the streets but you learned something. Keep reading and if you need any help just post a grow journal next time. Yes, you need to keep better track of everything. For starters she needs fresh food every 7 days if hydroponic. Dump that res and refill with new water and new nutrients every 7 days. I say get some new plants going RIGHT AWAY. And how about using your gas fired heater? Or do you not have natural gas? I live in CA and natural gas is CHEAP.
it looks like and from your description that the plant locked itself out of nutrients probably due to the cold temps. It's all good though man, as long as you take the experience with you on your next plant(s). I just finished my first grow and I was very unsure about the harvesting bit, at one point I just said "fuck it" I'll harvest (after 71days) now and take what I learned to my next plants. I didn't really think temps and humidity were all that important, but I'm thinkin my plants got nute lock at some point too which stunted both plants growth...the buds on the canopy were all good looked good but it was the ones in foliage that while trimming I realized weren't ready yet. Oh well though now I know. And so do you.
hmmm.. hard to say. i don't want you harvesting to late and the hairs start to die.i think it's just about done
About the Ph, it was high at first and i think that it could have caused the stunted growth, i switched to bottled water but it might have been to late, thanks for all the help, i got some new seeds started but im really looking for a legit place to get some dank seeds, any good suggestions? im thinking im just going to take the loss and chop this one down within a week or so,
