  1. I have one that I used as an intake fan for a few months. They work great. A 6 inch duct starter flange fits on the intake side perfectly. Just get the duct starter for a few dollars and buy that $8 roll of foil type tape and you're good to go.

  2. I have the stanley 655702 in my 2x3x6 cab with 400w hps, passive intake no cooltube, and it works pretty well. I haven't tried hooking it to a carbon filter yet will probably have to go the sealed reflector route. I also haven't tried the smaller stanley, I bought a lasko space saving pivoting task fan

Instead for my 1x2x2.5 cab and it seems to work ok, it moves a lot of air and its small but the temps in there still get pretty high with 6x 26watt daylight cfls running 24/7. I tried putting mylar up in there and the temps got well over 120f within just a few minutes, so I had to go back to the flat white paint. With the lasko fan on high the temps in there hover around 90f or so which is a little high but lets just say that box works magic. Of course the temps depend on the temp in the room where my cabs are kept too.
