How we will benefit from this recession.

  1. The worse this recession gets, the better we will be off in the future. Recessions are known for reducing populations. In the US, we are too advanced and have too many people. Technology has grown and it's been replacing people on factory lines. That means less people are needed in the industrialized world. This may have had something to do with the economic recession we are currently experiencing and I'm sure birth rates are on the decline right now. The longer this recession lasts, the fewer people there will be in the next generation.

With a smaller population, we would require much less energy which could be easily supported with renewable resources. We would all benefit from these changes. We would be healthier. We would require less "space" in terms of land. We would also need much less food and corn- which seems to have drained the Midwest of its water.

  2. But with quick declines the possibility of a demographic crisis arises.

  3. So people are going to die. Sounds great......wait.

  4. I think your right for the most part. I'll hate to see how bad it gets though.

  5. Didn't you get the government memo? The recession is over and we're in a recovery.

  6. Doesn't it bother you that one of those people dying in the future could be you? You shouldn't just be waiting for people to die so things can get better.

  7. Good thinking. Honestly, that makes sense.... Unfortunatley.

  8. Everyone will die, no one will starve. We won't be producing enough children to keep the population growing so our numbers will reduce simply because people could afford to feed there children of they were to have more. Bad economies are known to do these things so it's not really up to discussion rather it is happening.

The ultimate sign of economic prosperity is a good population growth. It seems like some of the socialist European nations are doing well, but there population growth is low. This leads to stagnation and they will eventually fall.
