Hey guys just wondering how I should go about transplanting my baby's from solo cups into the ground, I'm just worried about fucking it up. Do I just flip it upside down and all the soil comes out in a cup shape?
Basically. Hold your hand over the top of the cup so the stem is between your middle and first finger. Then turn the cup over so you catch the rootball as it slides out. If it feels stuck, squeeze the cup gently to loosen it. Just make sure you have your hole dug, amended with anything you want to add etc so you're ready to go. How big are your holes? Its best to loosen the soil in a big area. Don't just dig a hole the same size as you're rootball.
Yes, you can do it that way or take scissors and make cuts to opposite sides of the cup. Peel down the plastic and use a flat bladed tool (like a putty knife) to scoop up the root ball.

That's what I was planning on doing, how should it be done then?
You want the hole bigger then the size of his rootball so the roots have room to grow..should go with 3x3 holes
I mean, dig a rather large while so the soil is loose all around the plant so the roots can grow freely. If you have hard soil and just dig a whole the size of your started pot and slip it in, it will be harder for you plant to grow and you'll yield less. Most outdoor growers use holes between 2-5 feet wide and about 2-3 feet deep.
