how to transplant from bubble cloner

  1. Hi i have been reading up on bubble cloners, and am wondering if once i have plenty of roots to transplant, can i just plant into straight hydroton? Do I have to have rockwool or rapid rooters or sure to grow? And if i put the rootball into the hydroton with no other medium, do i need to top feed if i am using dwc?

  2. Hey assmastersonman! I was wondering the same thing so I did a few tests..

I built a short little bubble cloner (5 inch deep tupperware with airstones in the bottom and 3 inch net cups in the lid)

    So I made 6 clones

2 X Clonex and Rapid rooter in Humidity dome

2 X Rapid Rooter in Net cups surrounded by Hydrotron and submerged in light nute mix

2 X Cutting stuck straight in Hydrotron in the cloner

They all seemed to grow at about exactly the same rate, and all took off fantastically!

The two in the Humidity dome took more spraying than those with stems submerged

P.S. I also used cuttings from all over the plant and some had tons of leaf sets.... The first to root well dropped the 2 bottom biggest after yellowing them... then I upped the nutes a bit and the rest took off!
