How to text new dealer

Discussion in 'Beginner Cannabis Consumption & Tips' started by Dottumblrdotcom, Sep 6, 2012.

  1. Yo my previous dealer quit dealing and so he hooked me up with his dealer's phone number, as well as his twitter (I fucking hate twitter so much...).
Anyways I tried texting the guy a week ago because we dont know each other, but he never responded. I recently went on twitter and followed him and then asked him to follow me back so i could private message him but he ended up blocking me. I dont know if I was abnoxious or he thought i was spam.
Anyways, I think my last chance of contacting this guy is through a text message. I'm always nervous about making phone calls/ texts for some reason. I think I have mild social anxiety, and I haven't had any weed to treat it lately :p
I just would like advice on what i should text him. I dont want to sound like a narc or anything but I need to get him some info, right? I was planning on texting that i was a friend of his friend and i heard he could give me a hookup. Would that sound right? Im probly overthinking this but I dont want to fuck up.
    Thanks

  2. call him. texting leaves a trail. especially if your a new customer you really should call

  3. Ask your old dealer to introduce you to the new dealer.

It might be the only way.

  4. He won't answer a text from a number he doesn't know.

Call him. "Hey I'm a friend of ___(insert last dealer's name) and he gave me your number. Trying to buy ___."

But if he's your dealer's dealer, he's probably not dishing out anything smaller than an 8th at best.

Alternatively, you could be extremely obnoxious and your dealer lied to you about quitting, and gave you some random person's twitter and # I doubt it though.

  5. if you texted him once the right way and he didn't respond thats it.

  6. My dealer stopped dealing to go to college. I can't stop thinking of that workaholics episode now :D. I should have given him a pizza.
Anyways, I read through this dealer's dealer's messages and he said shit like: "I got weed by tha trees"
I'll call him when my dad's out of my way, so i figure tomorrow. Oh, and should i leave a voicemail if he doesnt answer?

  7. call your old dealer, and ask him to go with you to the new dealer.

Pay your old dealer something (whether it be in weed, or in cash)

Explain you just need some help getting the hookup

edit: Whoops, old dealer went to college.

Well at least get your old guy to call the new guy and set things up

  8. this is the right way. you cant expect a dealer to just be ok with someone he doesn't even know. I wouldnt sell anything to you if you didnt have someone I trusted to vouch for you. Money is persuasive but the penitentiary is more persuasive.

  9. No. But I would also vouch for what the others are saying about getting your old guy to call this one to give you a rec.

  10. Okay, so if I don't leave a voicemail and he doesn't answer, how frequently should i call? Once a day for a week?

  11. If he doesn't answer, find someone else.

  12. So far, every dealer I've ever had has great difficulty in answering the phone. They never call back either.

  13. If you're going to text, don't ask for a "hookup" like a lot of people here are suggesting.

I've known plenty of dealers who be pissed as fuck and would never associate with you again if you sent them an obviously weed related text like that.

Calling would probably be best, but I still wouldn't mention anything super obvious.

Here's basically how my last convo with a new dealer went:
"Hey, this is _____, [friend] gave me your number, I was wondering if we could meet up?"
"Meet up? What do you mean..?"
"Uh.. well, I didn't want to be too obvious over the phone..."
    "Oh, you want weed?"
    "Yeah!"
    "Cool, come on by."

    :p

  14. He was hoping for some POOTY TANG!

  15. Call

    /thread

  16. Also, I don't know this guy's name. In fact I have the numbers of like 3 dealers who I don't even know and never bought from. I just gave them all silly names. Like this one ghetto dude who spoke in an incoherently low tone and made it sound like his whole fucking sentence was one word. I nicknamed him Stevie. I dont like stevie.
Oh and then the guy this thread is about; I nicknamed him Louie. Lol
I think I nicknamed the other dealer Abovetheinfluence...

  17. tell him how you know/heard of him and tell him you are willing to be a loyal customer...I don't know what dealer can refuse that offer

  18. Yeah and I usually buy unrealistically high quantity purchases. Once I got into smoking weed i figured buying only a quarter or more will save money in the long run

  19. one that doesn't want some small time weed buyer blowing up his phone and twitter with obvious text messages wanting to buy weed.

I wouldn't want some random guy calling me with out first being notified or introduced by the mutual "friend". Plus, if he was supplying your guy with oz's or more it is unlikely he will want to hassle with anything smaller. Even though small bags are where the profit is at, you end up having to deal with the same people several times a week.

Anyway, your first communication with the guy should be over the phone as covert as possible. Make no mention of weed, or common nicknames for weed. Just say something like "Hey, this is ____, so and so gave me your number and said it would be ok if i called you. I was wondering if you had time to meet up and chat sometime soon"..... or something along those lines.

  20. IMO, the best first impression you could make is to just buy a oz your first time. Hopefully, he's got the goods that warrant the purchase.
