How to put out a joint

I suffocate mine in a pen cap, works like a candle snuffer. It takes a steady hand, but so far, its the best method i've found.

Any space you can deprive of oxygen flow will do, pen caps just seem to be the most handy.

If you want your joint to remain intact you can hold down the red button on your bic and cover the cherry with butane, the lack of oxygen kills the cherry. I don't know if theres any implications of this, so once its out just blow through it to get rid of excess smoke or butane

 

I usually just rub it against the nearest wall or sidewalk or w/e gently so I don't lose a bit, or just use my fingers.

 

Lick your thumb and pointer finger then squeeze the cherried end. (works best when there isn't alot of ash hanging off)

 

This sounds like it will just light the butane on fire, and burn the joint even more. Unless you were to literally shove the joint into the hole where the butane comes out, I don't see this working. There's not enough butane to fully get rid of all the oxygen surrounding the joint.

 

Well you are completely wrong.

 

Use a blunt tube. Most people don't know this, but the original purpose of a hard, air tight, plastic tube was so that you can put you unfinished "cigar" back inside and put the cap on and it will suffocate it.

 

I use the bottom of my bic... works everytime. People look at me like im crazy when i do it... then i hold a lighter up to the bottom for like 4 seconds and ask which they think is worse lol

The funny thing is is that people are actually responding. And with quite a few different responses!! It's always cool to hear how people go about doing something so simple yet there are a lot of ways people go about it, interesting.

Stick it in your ass. Turn it around and you can smoke it like that as well.
